MSOBS MATTERS…

May 26th, 2004

Visit
G
RAHAM WALL from Victoria visited us for a week during his holidays. He participated in the MSOBS classes, helped with visiting, enthusiastically taught two lessons for the church and encouraged us all to greater service. We are very grateful for his visit!

Assignments and Classes
ROBERTO QUINTANILLA did a great job with his first term assignments, even surpassing some of the teachers' expectations. We are very thankful for his enthusiasm and efforts in the training programme. Keep it up Roberto! In first and second terms Roberto is spending time with preachers from the Hunter Valley, Gosford, Warringah, Hawkesbury, Canberra and Macquarie congregations, examining the make-up of the congregations, their teaching programme and their methods of edification and evangelism.

Lectureship
"Christianity: A Journey of Discovery" is this years lectureship theme. We hope that you will make plans to attend on July 14-18.

Baptism
The latest baptism in the Macquarie church was that of AMANDA STILBE. She was contacted by one of our graduates and taught by another and we are thrilled to have her as our new sister. Thanks especially to PETER & CLAIRE TICKNER for their influence and help with Amanda's decision.

Wedding
ROBERTO QUINTANILLA and SUMMER RAMELLE have set their wedding date for early October this year. We wish this wonderful young couple well in their preparations for the big event! But, as Roberto said, "We are investing in a marriage, not a wedding!" so we especially wish them well for their life together.

Engagement
While we are nuptial mode, TIMOTHY PAULL & KARYN TONKIN have announced their engagement - to each other! Our best wishes are with this delightful young couple from the Macquarie church. They plan to marry some time next year and we wish them all the best!

Thanks
We want to recognise and commend those of you who as individuals and churches are now helping to support the students and teachers and the operation of the school, through your prayers, encouragements, suggestions and financial assistance! This is very much need and really encouraging for all of us involved with the school. If you are not helping in ways like this and would like to help train preachers now, please let us know. Thanks!
